Privacy Policy
We collect as little as we can. There are no accounts, no advertising cookies and no newsletter tracking. This policy explains the few things we do process, especially how the AI chat assistant handles your messages.
Effective date: 21 October 2026
This privacy policy applies to the website at ai-crypto.exchange ("the site", "we", "us"), an independent information site about AI crypto tools. It describes what personal data the site processes, why, for how long, and what choices you have. If you have a question that this page does not answer, email contacts@ai-crypto.exchange.
The short version
- You cannot create an account on this site, and we do not ask for your name, address or payment details.
- Our web server keeps standard technical logs for security and troubleshooting.
- If you use the AI chat assistant, your message is sent from our server to a third-party AI provider to generate the answer. Do not type personal or financial information into the chat.
- Chat history stays in your own browser and disappears when you close the tab.
- We do not use advertising cookies, sell data, or build profiles of visitors.
No accounts, no sign-ups
The site has no login, membership or account system. We do not run a mailing list. We never ask for exchange credentials, wallet addresses, seed phrases, private keys or API keys, and you should never enter them anywhere on this site. We are not an exchange and do not hold funds.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting server automatically records basic information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page, your browser and operating system (the "user agent") and the response status. We use these logs to keep the site running, detect abuse and attacks, and fix errors. We do not use them to identify individual visitors or combine them with other data.
Logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted or rotated out on a regular schedule, unless we need a specific entry longer to investigate a security incident. Our legal basis, where data-protection law requires one, is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website.
The AI chat assistant
The assistant in the corner of each page answers short, general questions about crypto and AI tools. Using it is optional. Here is exactly what happens when you send a message:
- Your browser sends your question, plus the last few messages of the current conversation for context, to our server.
- Our server forwards that text to a third-party AI provider to generate an answer. We currently use Groq and Google (Gemini API), with one acting as a backup for the other. We do not send your IP address to them as part of the message.
- The provider returns an answer, which our server passes back to your browser.
Each provider processes the text under its own terms and privacy policy, which may include keeping requests for a period for abuse monitoring and, on some service tiers, using them to improve its services. You can read their policies here: Groq privacy policy, Gemini API terms and Google privacy policy. These providers may process data in the United States or other countries outside your own.
Rate limiting
To prevent abuse and keep the service free, our server keeps minimal rate-limiting data: a hashed (one-way scrambled) version of your IP address and the timestamps of recent requests. This lets us cap how many messages one connection can send in a short time. It is kept only for a short period and then deleted. We do not keep chat transcripts linked to you.
Chat history in your browser
So the conversation survives moving between pages, your recent messages are saved in your browser's sessionStorage. This stays on your device, is not sent to us except as context with your next question, and is cleared automatically when you close the tab or browser window. Remember that AI answers can be wrong; see our terms of use. You can also clear it at any time through your browser's site-data settings.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or third-party ad networks, and we do not sell or rent visitor data. Apart from the sessionStorage chat history described above, the site does not need to store anything on your device to work. If we ever add an analytics or other tool that sets cookies, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
Links to other websites
Our reviews and guides link to official websites of tools, exchanges, regulators and news sources. These links are marked nofollow and open in a new tab. Once you leave our site, the other website's own privacy policy applies, and it may set its own cookies. We are not responsible for how third-party sites handle your data, so please read their policies before signing up for anything.
If you email us
If you write to contacts@ai-crypto.exchange, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use this only to reply and to act on your request, such as checking a correction. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it and keep a reasonable record, and we do not add you to any list.
Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers needed to run the site: our hosting provider, which stores server logs, and the AI providers named above, which receive chat messages. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the site and its users from fraud or attack. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Because we hold so little, and log data is not linked to names, we may not be able to find records relating to you, but we will always check. Email contacts@ai-crypto.exchange with your request.
Children
The site is about financial products and is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, AI provider keys are kept on our server and never exposed in the page, and access to logs is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, which is another reason to keep personal and financial details out of the chat.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or the services we rely on change, for example if we switch AI providers. The effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be noted on this page.
Contact
For any privacy question or request, email contacts@ai-crypto.exchange. You can also read our about page to learn who runs the site.
