Key takeaways
- Full bot apps on iOS and Android: Pionex, Bitsgap, Cryptohopper, Stoic, Altrady and TradeSanta.
- Partial: Coinrule has an iOS app; WunderTrading an Android app. 3Commas removed its v1 apps in September 2026 and v2 apps are "coming later".
- Exchange apps now ship AI assistants: Binance AI, KuCoin KIA, Crypto.com Amy, eToro Tori and Bitget GetAgent. Most analyse; few trade.
- Do setup on a computer, monitoring on the phone. Install only from links on the official site.
Most people search for AI crypto trading apps because they want to check on a bot from the sofa. That works almost everywhere. What varies is how much you can do from the phone: launch and tune bots, or only watch numbers and press pause.
We checked which platforms list official iOS and Android apps as of October 2026 and split them into two groups: bot platforms with apps, and exchange apps with built-in AI assistants. For our overall ranking of platforms, see the best AI crypto trading bots.
The best AI crypto trading app depends on what you want it to do
- Run grid or DCA bots entirely from the phone: Pionex. The bots live inside the exchange, so there are no API keys to set up on a small screen.
- Control bots on your existing exchange: Bitsgap. One app across 16 listed exchanges, with demo bots on the Free plan.
- Copy templates and monitor: Cryptohopper's app, backed by its marketplace.
- Do nothing at all: Stoic AI. The app is mostly a dashboard for a managed strategy.
- Ask an AI about the market: an exchange app with an assistant, such as Bitget, KuCoin or eToro.
Bot platforms with iOS and Android apps
App availability as listed on each official site, plus store listings where noted. "AI layer" is what the platform calls AI, which is usually an assistant on top of rule-based bots.

"Not found" means we found no official store listing for that platform during our October 2026 check; WunderTrading's Android app is confirmed through a third-party store tracker. Self-hosted bots (Freqtrade, Gunbot, HaasOnline TradeServer) have no app store app in the usual sense. Freqtrade is the interesting exception: you can control it through Telegram commands and its FreqUI web interface from any phone browser.
Pionex: the most complete phone-first bot app
Because Pionex is the exchange, there is no separate bot account to link: the bots (spot, infinity and futures grid, DCA, rebalancing and more) run where your funds already are, and the app is the exchange app. PionexGPT can draft a Signal Bot strategy from plain English. Pionex offers both store versions and a direct APK for Android. Only use an APK linked from the official site, and prefer the store version. The trade-offs (custody, unverified licensing, a 2.6/5 Trustpilot score in October 2026) are covered in our Pionex review.
Bitsgap: one app, many exchanges
Bitsgap lists iOS and Android apps alongside its web platform, which connects to 16 exchanges. Use the app for monitoring and quick changes. We would still connect exchanges and create API keys on a computer, where it is easier to check every permission. See the Bitsgap review.
Cryptohopper, Stoic, Altrady and TradeSanta
Cryptohopper's app pairs with its strategy marketplace and paper trading. Beware of people impersonating the company by phone, which Trustpilot reviewers describe; the company says it never initiates calls. Stoic's app is a window into a managed strategy rather than a bot builder. Altrady is a trading terminal with bots and AI chat on monthly credits; its MCP server, which lets Claude or Cursor stage trades for your approval, runs locally on a computer. TradeSanta is a budget grid and DCA option with no AI claims.
Exchange apps with built-in AI assistants
A growing number of exchanges put AI directly into their app. These are not bots in the classic sense: most explain markets and summarise news, and only a few can place orders. Dates come from official announcements or press reports.
| Exchange app | AI feature | What it does | Can it trade? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Binancebinance.com ↗ | Binance AI (Oct 2026, NZ first) | Briefings, PnL summaries, alerts | No; AI Pro beta can |
| KuCoinkucoin.com ↗ | KIA assistant | Quick, Deep Thinking, Deep Research modes | Suggests |
| Crypto.comcrypto.com ↗ | Amy (piloted 2023) | ChatGPT-based user assistant | No |
| eToroetoro.com ↗ | Tori (AI-first app, Jul 2026) | Proactive agent plus CopyTrader | Not documented |
| Bitgetbitget.com ↗ | GetAgent | 50+ tools, six AI personas to copy | Yes |
| Krakenkraken.com ↗ | App relaunch (announced Jul 2026) | Agentic trading and advice | Reports differ |
A few details matter. Binance AI launched on 5 October 2026 for eligible users in New Zealand, with a wider rollout planned, and is research-only. The separate Binance AI Pro beta connects AI models to a sub-account whose API key cannot withdraw, and automates orders. Binance has also restricted EU services since July 2026. Bitget GetAgent launched publicly in August 2025 with Free, Plus and Ultra tiers, and is not available in the US. eToro charges a flat 1% per crypto buy and sell, so frequent AI-suggested trades get expensive. Our exchanges with AI tools matrix compares licences and features, and the GetAgent review and Binance AI guide go deeper.
Two crypto-native AI apps also run on phones: Nansen's app pairs its on-chain AI analyst with a non-custodial wallet, and Minara offers web, macOS and mobile access to its trading agent. Both sit closer to AI trading agents than to bots.
App vs web: what to do where
A practical split between the two screens:
| Task | Phone app | Web / desktop |
|---|---|---|
| Check bot P&L and open orders | Best | Fine |
| Pause or stop a bot in a hurry | Best | Fine |
| Price alerts and fill notifications | Best | Limited |
| Create and permission an API key | Possible | Best |
| Backtest or compare settings | Cramped | Best |
| Connect an AI model via MCP | Usually not | Best |
| Withdraw funds | Possible | Prefer, with whitelist |
Pair your bot app with a regulated account
A trading app on your phone is only as safe as the account behind it. CEX.IO has operated since 2013, is a FinCEN-registered MSB with money transmitter licences listed for 39 US states plus DC, is FCA-registered in the UK, and offers 2FA, multi-sig wallets and cold storage. It has no built-in AI tools: use your bot app for automation and keep a verified account for buying and holding.
Registrations checked October 2026 on the company's legal pages. Availability depends on your country; crypto is high-risk.

Mobile security for crypto AI trading apps
Phones get lost, borrowed and phished more than laptops. Six habits cover most of the risk.
Install from the official site's link
Open the platform's website, then tap its App Store or Google Play link. Search results and ads can surface copycat apps with similar names and icons.
Avoid APKs unless the official site links them
Sideloaded apps skip store review. If a platform offers an APK (Pionex does), download it only from the official domain.
Use an authenticator app for 2FA
Turn on 2FA on both the exchange and the bot platform. An authenticator app is harder to hijack than SMS codes.
Keep API keys trade-only
Withdrawals off, IP whitelist on where supported. Never paste keys into a chat, a Telegram bot or a support conversation.
Lock the app itself
Enable biometric or PIN lock inside the app if offered, and a strong passcode on the phone.
Have a lost-phone plan
Know how to revoke API keys and log out sessions from the web. Do it first, then restore the phone.
How to choose a crypto AI trading app
Start from where your coins are. If you are happy to hold funds on the bot's exchange, Pionex is the simplest phone experience. If you already use Binance, OKX, Kraken or another major exchange, pick a bot platform that connects to it and has an app: Bitsgap or Cryptohopper for most people. If you mainly want AI analysis, use the assistant in your exchange's app and keep bots out of it.
Then test on a computer before relying on the phone. New to bots? Our AI crypto trading bots for beginners guide has a first-week checklist. Want to spend nothing? See free AI crypto trading bots.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI crypto trading app?
For bots on a phone, Pionex and Bitsgap have the most complete iOS and Android apps among the platforms we track. Pionex is an exchange with bots built in; Bitsgap connects to 16 exchanges. If you want an AI assistant rather than a bot, exchange apps such as Bitget (GetAgent), KuCoin (KIA) and eToro (Tori) build AI into the app itself.
Does 3Commas still have a mobile app?
Not at the moment. 3Commas removed its v1 iOS and Android apps when it shut down v1 on 11 September 2026. Its help center says v2 apps are "coming later". Until then, v2 is web-only. Our 3Commas review covers what changed.
Can I run a trading bot entirely from my phone?
Yes on exchange-native platforms like Pionex, where bots run on the exchange and the app controls them. With API-based bots you can usually monitor, pause and launch simple bots in the app, but creating API keys, backtesting and complex setups are easier on a computer.
Is it safe to trade crypto with an AI app?
It can be, if you install from official store links, use an authenticator app for 2FA, keep API keys trade-only and avoid apps you found through ads or messages. Fake trading apps are a common scam route. See how to spot AI trading scams.
Do crypto AI trading apps trade for you automatically?
Bot apps run rules you set, 24/7, whether the app is open or not, because the bot runs on the platform's servers. Most exchange AI assistants only analyse and suggest; some, like Binance AI Pro and Bitget GetAgent, can place orders with your approval or within limits. Check what each one is allowed to do.
Is there a free AI trading app for crypto?
Pionex bots are free to use in its app (you pay trading fees), Bitsgap's app works with its Free plan, and exchange assistants like Binance AI are free where available. Paid tiers usually unlock more bots or AI usage. See our free AI bots guide.
