Key takeaways
- CoinStats is the most AI-forward tracker: an AI agent, deep research and backtesting on paid plans, plus an MCP server.
- Kubera takes the opposite route and lets Claude, ChatGPT or Grok read and update your net worth. It starts at $250 a year.
- CoinTracker, Koinly and DeBank are useful but advertise no AI. Do not pay extra for "AI" you will not get.
- Connect exchanges with read-only API keys and wallets by public address only. No tracker ever needs a seed phrase.
An AI crypto portfolio tracker should do more than add up balances. The useful ones explain why your portfolio moved, answer questions in plain English and flag concentration risk you might miss. Most trackers, though, still have no AI at all, and a few bolt the word onto features that are simple arithmetic.
We checked the pricing and product pages of seven widely used trackers on 21 October 2026 and sorted them by what their AI really does. Prices may vary by region; several vendors say so on their pricing pages.
What counts as AI in an AI crypto portfolio tracker
We use three tests. Does the tracker have a built-in assistant or agent that can reason over your holdings? Does it let your own AI assistant connect to your data (via MCP or a similar integration)? Or does it expose an API built for AI agents? If the answer to all three is no, it is a regular tracker, however good. Automatic transfer matching and spam-token filters are useful, but they are rules, not AI.
The distinction matters because AI features cost money and add privacy exposure. If all you need is a total balance and a tax report, a non-AI tool is cheaper and shares less data.

CoinStats: the most built-in AI
CoinStats pitches its AI as "your personal AI assistant for portfolio management", and it backs that up more than any rival. Premium includes a multimodal AI agent (you can show it screenshots as well as text) and AI deep research. The Degen tier adds more credits and AI backtesting. Even the free Basic plan, which covers 10 portfolios and 20,000 transactions, includes an "AI Bull Market Price" estimate. CoinStats also lists an MCP server and a crypto API, so you can pull your data into an outside assistant.
Pricing is shown on yearly billing: Premium at $13.99/month and Degen at $62.91/month, with a 7-day trial on yearly plans and a 14-day money-back guarantee. Monthly-billing prices did not display separately when we checked, and AI credit limits are not published.
What works
- Most complete AI feature set of any tracker
- Generous free plan for basic tracking
- MCP and API access for your own tools
Watch out for
- AI credit limits not disclosed
- Heavy upselling to paid tiers
- User numbers (1 million) are self-reported
Kubera: bring your own AI
Kubera is a net-worth tracker first, with crypto as one part: it covers major chains, exchanges, wallets, DeFi, NFTs and staking alongside banks and property. Its AI angle is that it "works for your AI too". You connect it to Claude, ChatGPT or Grok (paid desktop apps are required), then ask questions about your portfolio. AI Web Sync goes a step further: the assistant uses its own browser to read balances from your bank sites and update Kubera. There is also an AI appraiser for real assets.
Plans cost $250, $2,500 or $10,000 a year, with a 14-day trial. That is expensive if you only hold crypto, and sensible if you want one view of everything and already pay for an assistant.
Delta: cheap, light AI
Delta, owned by eToro, tracks crypto, stocks and funds in one app. Its "Delta AI" and asset analytics explain market moves, but the plan table does not make clear which tier includes Delta AI, and the depth is limited. Basic is free for 10 assets, PRO is $53.88 a year for 40 assets and PRO+ is $107.88 a year for unlimited assets. Delta notes that prices vary by location. Expect some nudging towards eToro.
Zerion: built for AI agents, not chat
Zerion is a self-custody DeFi wallet and portfolio app supporting 66 networks. It has no consumer AI assistant. Its AI angle is infrastructure: an API marketed to AI agents, pay-per-request via x402 on Base ("no subscriptions, no keys"), and an open-source CLI that puts agents on-chain across 42 chains. Premium is $99 a year, one-time with no auto-renew, and halves swap and bridge fees. The API has a free tier of 2,000 requests a day, with paid tiers at $149 and $499 a month. If you build your own agent, this is the data layer to look at; see our AI crypto trading agents guide for how those agents fit together.
Popular trackers without AI
These three are well known and often appear in "AI tracker" lists. None advertises AI features on its pricing page.
- CoinTracker is a tax and portfolio tool. Tracking is free; tax plans run from $59 (100 transactions) to $999 (25,000 transactions) per tax year, with full-service options above that.
- Koinly supports 20,000+ cryptocurrencies. Free tracking covers up to 10,000 transactions without a report; tax reports cost $49, $99 or $199 per tax year depending on volume. Its transfer matching and spam detection are not labelled as AI.
- DeBank is an EVM-focused DeFi portfolio and social product. VIP costs $15 for a month or $150 for a year, and its purchase page showed "Under Maintenance" when we checked.
If you hold assets on many DeFi protocols, DeBank or Zerion will usually show positions more accurately than a general tracker. If you need a tax report, use CoinTracker or Koinly regardless of which AI tool you pick for analysis.
Privacy and security: what you hand over
A tracker that sees every wallet and exchange account you own is a detailed map of your wealth. Adding AI widens that exposure, because your data may be processed by a model provider as well as the tracker. These are the rules we follow:
- Read-only API keys only. When you connect an exchange, create a key with read permission and nothing else. Trading and withdrawal permissions must be off. A tracker that asks for more is a red flag.
- Public addresses, never seed phrases. Self-custody wallets are tracked by address. Anyone asking for your recovery phrase, including a "support agent" or an AI chat, is trying to steal your funds. Our AI crypto scams guide shows common versions.
- Think before linking addresses. A public address is visible to everyone, but linking several to one email builds a profile. Consider a separate email for crypto tools.
- Check what the AI can reach. Kubera's AI Web Sync lets an assistant browse your bank sites. That is convenient and also a meaningful grant of access; review what your assistant's browser session can see.
- Keep data connectors separate from trading tools. If you connect your tracker to Claude or ChatGPT, do not give the same assistant an exchange key that can trade without your approval.
How to set up an AI portfolio tracker safely
Decide what you need AI for
Explanations of moves (Delta), an agent that researches and backtests (CoinStats), your own assistant answering questions (Kubera), or data for an agent you build (Zerion).
Start on the free plan or trial
CoinStats, Delta and Zerion have free tiers; Kubera has a 14-day trial. Check the AI is useful on your real holdings before paying.
Add wallets by address
Paste public addresses for self-custody wallets. Label them so you can spot missing or duplicated balances.
Create read-only exchange keys
On each exchange, generate a new key with read access only, withdrawals and trading off, and an IP whitelist if the tracker publishes its addresses.
Turn on 2FA everywhere
Protect the tracker account itself, not only the exchanges. A breached tracker reveals your full portfolio.
Review access every few months
Delete keys you no longer use, disconnect AI assistants you stopped using, and export your data before cancelling a plan.
Track it anywhere, hold it somewhere regulated
A tracker shows your balances but does not protect them. For the part of your portfolio you keep on an exchange, CEX.IO is a long-running option with checkable registrations: in business since 2013, a FinCEN-registered MSB with money transmitter licences in 39 US states plus DC, and FCA-registered in the UK.
Registrations checked October 2026 on the company's legal pages. Availability depends on your country; crypto is high-risk.

The tax angle, briefly
AI trackers are not tax software. CoinStats, Kubera and Delta help you understand your portfolio; CoinTracker and Koinly produce the cost-basis calculations and reports tax authorities expect. Most active traders end up using one of each. If you run bots or agents that place many small trades, check the transaction limits: CoinTracker's plans are priced by transaction count, and so are Koinly's. Whether and how your trades are taxed depends on where you live, which is covered in our guide to whether AI crypto trading is legal and safe.
Which AI crypto portfolio tracker to pick
| You are… | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A retail holder who wants built-in AI | CoinStats | Agent, research and backtests in one app |
| Already paying for Claude or ChatGPT | Kubera | Your assistant reads your whole net worth |
| Holding crypto and stocks on a budget | Delta | Cheap, multi-asset, light AI |
| A DeFi user or agent builder | Zerion | Agent API, x402, 42 chains |
| Mainly worried about tax season | Koinly or CoinTracker | Reports, not AI |
Whichever you choose, the tracker is only the reporting layer. Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI crypto portfolio tracker?
CoinStats has the most built-in AI: a multimodal AI agent and AI deep research on Premium ($13.99/month billed yearly), with AI backtesting on the Degen tier. If you already pay for Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, Kubera is the better fit because it lets your own assistant query and update your whole net worth. Delta is the cheapest multi-asset option, and Zerion suits DeFi users and agent builders.
Is it safe to connect my exchange to a portfolio tracker?
It is reasonably safe if you create a read-only API key with trading and withdrawals switched off. A tracker never needs to trade. Even then, the tracker stores a key that reveals your balances and history, so pick a provider you trust, enable 2FA, and delete keys you no longer use.
Can I track a crypto wallet without connecting it?
Yes. For self-custody wallets you only paste the public address, and the tracker reads the blockchain. It cannot move funds. Never paste a seed phrase or private key into a tracker or AI chat; no legitimate app needs it for tracking. Bear in mind that public addresses can be linked to you once you share them.
Do AI portfolio trackers give investment advice?
They explain and summarise rather than advise. CoinStats can run research and backtests, Delta AI explains why assets moved, and Kubera lets an assistant answer questions about your holdings. None of them knows your full financial situation, and their output is not personalised financial advice. Treat suggestions as starting points to check.
Is CoinTracker or Koinly an AI tool?
No. Neither advertises AI on its pricing page. They are crypto tax and portfolio tools that match transfers and produce tax reports, priced per tax year (CoinTracker from $59, Koinly from $49 for a report). Use them for tax season, and an AI tracker if you want natural-language analysis.
Is there a free AI crypto portfolio tracker?
CoinStats' free Basic plan covers 10 portfolios and 20,000 transactions, though its main AI agent features sit on paid plans. Delta's free plan tracks 10 assets. Zerion's wallet is free. For on-chain wallet analysis with an AI agent, Nansen's free tier also includes portfolio tracking and 20 agent credits a week.
